Upsidedown Jelly cake

Auntie Gina and her awesome upsidedown jelly cake and excited Luke. Here is a bit of background on the cake...for about the last 9 months Luke has been talking about how he wants an "upsidedown jelly cake" for his 4th birthday and how Auntie Gina is going to make it for him. We are not to sure where he got his creative idea, perhaps because he loves jellyfish. Well of course Auntie Gina rose to the occassion and made him his cake with homemade kiwi jelly and the red things on the cake are gummy worms to go with the "bug" theme of his party. It was perfect and as you can see Luke was ever so pleased! Oh and by the way...the cake was delicious!

brief update...

I know I'm not so good at keeping up with what's happening in our neck of the woods, so let's see...Luke turned 4 and is more and more adorable, his imagination is incredible. We had a great "bug party", I'll post pictures soon, promise. Bowen turned 1 and is walking and talking a bit and sigining some as well. He loves to play with his big brothers. Asheroo is 2 1/2 and is also so adorable and funny! His giggle is so contagious. He is starting to get into storytelling, however he still copies what Luke says. He and Luke are best buds! Jake's back is doing much much better and now he is activley pursuing a new career in accounting. Hopefully in the next couple of months we will know if he has a new job and where....perhaps the Bay area may become our new home. I will for sure keep you all posted. Boy howdy life is sure full of many adventures, I'm so thankful to be in the Hands of my Heavenly Father, who knows the perfect plan for our lives. In that is what I put my trust in and am able to have peace during a time of so many unknowns. God is so good and faithful and real!!! For a few months ago, I would not have been so positive about these new changes. Ok. There is the brief update. pictures to follow....

Family and Friends

hello again

ok, so it has been quite some time since I last gave any type of update. Therefore I have compiled a bunch of random photos of the last couple months so you can peak into what we have been doing. We are truly blessed with such wonderful family and friends...as you can see. Oh and if I can add a prayer request...Jake injured his back at work in May, a herniated disc, and is still a hurtin unit. Please pray for healing and for wisdom to know what path to take next. We feel as though God is bringing us to a crossroads in our life, in all areas!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Now I'm going to try and spend some time with my hubby. TTFN, ta ta for now :)

Sweet lil Cambrya Mae
Miss Elysse
Auntie JoJo and baby
Papa lovin on the babies
We had a great time with our family. The boys loved playing with their cousins. It was so fun watching them interact. Cambrya is so expressive....as well as our boys too. (I wonder where they get it???) When we were playing outside the kids found snails...ewwww. Well Elysse picked them up, handed them to Asher and Cambrya, the kids then ran with them down to the sidewalk then threw them into the street. Being grossed out the whole time. It was a classic kid moment. Of course Jen and I were totally grossed out, at least they weren't eating them like Asher used to do. He has come a long way.

Well here are a few photos of all my boys. Aren't they so cute?! Luke is so silly he can actually cross his eyes and that is a sticker from the wipes that he and Asher both love to stick on their cheeks. The one of the boys looking into a tank of water is them at the Santa Barbara Zoo checking out the penguins.
Ok, so it's Friday morning and I need to get us all packed up to go visit our family in Visalia. Yeah!! Jen is 8 months pregnant and so cute. Cambria is talking so much and Elysse has gotten braces since the last time we saw her which was in January, waaayyyy toooooo long ago!! So it will be a great visit. Now I must go drink another cup of coffee and figure us out.

first go at blogging

ok, here it goes a try at blogging. I always enjoy reading others to find out what is happening and to try to stay connected. So hopefully I can figure this thing out and find the time to post things. All three boys are sleeping right now and my sink is full of dishes and of course there are clothes on the couch to fold....such is my life. But it is nice to spend a little time for me.
